What is Hemodialysis Technology?
Hemodialysis Technology course offered at AIMT is a combination program
that will teach Medical Assisting and Hemodialysis Technology. Medical
Assistants work the front and back offices of Doctors’ Offices, urgent care
clinics and hospitals. Not only do they help with office duties, but they are
also an integral part of the medical team, taking and recording vitals and
patient information, medical laboratory and procedures at the Doctor’s
discretion. Dialysis Technicians work in hospitals and clinics as a member
of a team of professionals who provide hemodialysis replacement therapy
to individuals in End Stage Renal Failure (Kidney Failure). While Dialysis
Technicians use much the same knowledge and skill set as a Medical
Assistant, they also have a unique set of skills in addition to those utilized
by a Medical assistant.
